RSG is hiring a Licensing Research Specialist to own the foundation of our regulatory engine and lead 50-state and federal compliance research across all service lines. When a pharmacy, wholesale distributor, manufacturer, or compounding operation relies on RSG, you’ll map their regulatory landscape, dig through complex state board requirements, and ensure the compliance groundwork we lay keeps our clients fully protected and ready to scale.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain Compliance Knowledge Base: Drive the creation, audit, and lifecycle management of Core Research Documentation across all state/federal filing types including initial licensure, change notices (i.e., ownership, PIC, DR, officers, relocation, name), and renewals. This includes all license types in the pharmacy and drug supply chain that are regulated by boards of pharmacy including pharmacy, sterile compounding pharmacy, wholesale drug distributors, third party logistic providers, virtual wholesalers, virtual manufacturers, reverse distributors, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, among others. The Compliance Knowledge Base serves as a reference for all licensing requirements for a given license type in a given state.

Multi-Jurisdictional Research: Execute comprehensive 50-state and federal regulatory research to support client deliverables and internal service lines.

Regulatory Outreach: Conduct surveys and engage directly with state boards and regulatory agencies to source accurate compliance requirements.

Build & Enhance Research Infrastructure: Contribute to the functional design and ongoing refinement of research tooling.

Project Planning Support: Assist licensing teams in constructing, tracking, and maintaining structured Project Work Plans.

What You Already Have

Experience: 5+ years of dedicated professional experience within the pharmacy regulatory, healthcare compliance, or life sciences space.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Communications, Legal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal or JD preferred.

Pharmacy Regulation Mastery: Strong foundational familiarity with state boards of pharmacy, federal compliance standards, and the operational workflows of the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Professional Writing & Communication Skills: Exceptional written communication skills are a hard requirement. Proven capability to distill dense, technical, or legal regulatory language into crisp, actionable corporate messaging.

Analytical & Broad-Thinking Capacity: Ability to look beyond basic compliance checklists to understand the broader business and strategic implications of regulatory shifts.

Self-Directed & Remote-Capable: Highly disciplined and organized, with a proven track record of managing workloads autonomously in a 100% remote work environment.
